“Inside the North American Plastics umbrella, Laird Plastics has been an incredible company to work with since graduation. I have loved the company culture and the core values they truly stand by. Empowerment was something I had not thought about looking for in a company, but being a person that is driven and wants to make a difference, Laird Plastics gives me the support to do so. I love the trust they extend and that I am able to apply new ideas while learning from my team. I feel passionate about coming to work each day. I feel challenged. Every day is different as we work with so many markets and have countless products/solutions to share. Working in the world of plastics, I have endless opportunities for growth and can truly make a difference!”
“North American Plastics has been a terrific company to grow and develop with. I was hired into the Laird Plastics brand after graduation and moved from inside sales, to outside sales, and now I run the Houston location as the General Manager. The autonomy that this company gives you, and the exposure to all aspects of running a business is an invaluable experience that is rare to find for new hires. We have quality leadership, and an executive team that is highly engaged at the local level. This is a company that truly invests in its people and rewards them for their success.”
“Laird Plastics has given me the opportunity to relocate to a different state and explore a new area when I came to work for the company after graduation from William Patterson. The beauty of working with a smaller group of people is the unique dynamic created among us. It really feels like we have become a work family inside the expansive North American Plastics group. My office in Tampa has been very welcoming from the beginning. We strive and push each other to be better every day and the results are incredible. The whole company mentality stands to support personal and collective growth which is very important to me.”
As a General Manager for Laird Plastics since 2017, I have been impressed with the level of empowerment at all levels. There is a high degree of trust and accountability built into the culture that creates an environment in which leaders can truly make decisions to grow, build valued partnerships with customers and suppliers, and assist team members in achieving goals without needing to be distracted by reports and metrics. This environment is fun to work in and allows individuals to perform at their best! I have seen first-hand that the team’s expertise and hard work really does translate to tangible results that have a positive impact on our lives.
