Polypropylene is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications. It offers a good balance of properties, including electrical, chemical and thermal resistance, as well as moderate strength. Polypropylene sheeting is impact resistant and has excellent chemical resistance, making it an ideal choice for containers. Additionally, its manufacturability and low cost make it a popular choice in semiconductor and chemical industries where corrosive environments are common. Polypropylene cannot be cemented but can be welded using a plastic welder. Although it is not UV stabilized, it meets USDA and FDA standards.
