Polyamide (PAI) Rod

Polyamide is commonly called Nylon and is the major engineering thermoplastics class. Polyamides are among the most important and useful materials due to their outstanding wear resistance, good coefficient friction, temperature, and impact properties. This balance of properties makes PA polymer ideal material for metal replacement application, including automotive & transportation markets, consumer goods and electrical and electronic application among others. Polyamide properties vary from hard to tough depending on the type. Polyamide products absorb different amounts of moisture, which will in turn affect the nylon properties and dimensional stability of the machined part.

Features

      • High wear resistance
      • High thermal stability
      • Very good strength and hardness
      • Good sliding
      • Good chemical resistance

Applications

      • Appliance parts
      • Automotive parts
      • Structural applications
      • Thermoformed parts
      • Shower/Tub surrounds
